Skaters Letters and Coaches Letters:  Confirmation Letters for Events and Purchased Practice Ice will be sent out on [DATE to be announced] via e-mail.  If you have not received your confirmation letter, please e-mail Rosemary Olt before [DATE to be announced]. Competitors who did not enclose an e-mail address were sent confirmation letters by mail.

Payment must be received before the competition to reserve your session time.  After [DATE to be announced] Practice ice can only be purchase when you arrive at the competition.

Entry Forms Deadline

All entry forms for the 2010 Quad City Championships and Basic Skills competition must be postmarked by __________. The use of metered postage is NOT acceptable. Any application postmarked after ___________ will be considered a late entry. Late entries ARE accepted at the discretion of the competition committee as well as the chief referee. A [$ _____] late fee will be charged. In the event of limitations on the size of events, entries with earlier postmarks will receive priority. No refunds will be made after the deadline on [Date to be announced] unless the event is cancelled or closed due to a large number of entries.

 

 

BASIC SKILLS Competition -Eligibility will be based on skill level as of closing date, [Date to be announced].  All Snowplow Sam and Basic Skills skaters through Basic 8 must skate at their highest level passed and NO official U.S. Figure Skating tests may have been passed including MIF or Individual Dances.

 

Please note: Freeskate Levels 1-6 will be skated as Beginner or No Test events (see Quad City Championships entry form).  If a skater competes at a non-qualifying competition in a Beginner or No-Test category, that skater must compete at the equivalent level or higher in any future Basic Skills approved competitions and may no longer compete in Basic Skills Freeskate 1-6.

 

Entry Fees [Fees represented from 2009 competition and subject to change until competition notice is released]

Basic Skills: see Basic Skill entry form

Championship Event: Must be entered as first event.

Pre-Juvenile (free skate only) $80.00;  Juvenile (free skate only) $85.00

Intermediate through Senior (combined short program and free skate) $105.00

Any other first singles event (Free Skating, Short Program, Compulsory, Spins, Jumps, Artistic, Dance):   

$80.00 if 6.0, $85.00 if IJS

Each additional singles event:  $25

 

Practice Ice

Skaters may reserve up to three practice sessions in advance.  Practice ice price is $15.00 for each 30 minues.  A practice ice order form is included the the entry form information notice above.  NO musics will be played on practice ice.  Additional practice ice will be available at the competition on a first come, first served basis.  Check at the Practice Ice Desk on your arrival.
