What a wonderful show it was this year, December 2009. All the skaters did such a lovely job and the Club has received great comments from so many. Thank you to all the parents who got their skater(s) to all the practices and rehearsals. The attendance this year was up! The skaters had a full house to entertain. There are always so many people to thank when putting on a show. First- there were was one family who came to watch the show due to watching a skater from past years. Well, to make a long story short- the ticket table needed help, the mom and daughter pitched in and helped sell tickets until the show began. The young daughter stamped everyone hands. Between Craig McCullough, the mom and daughter everyone got to their seats on time. I apologize for not having their name to thank-so it you know them please share my big thank you to both of them.
Bake Goods: Young Jackson, Lan Nguyen, and Diana Hughes made sure everyone had something delicious to eat. Thank you to all the people who made food for the Bake Good Sale: Christine Shepherd, Karen Doy, Diana Hughes, Lan Nguyen, Susan Theiling, Susan Collins, Gena McCullough, Susie Seitz, Angie Laufenberg, Linda Barlow and Kim Lent. I hope I did not leave anyone out!
Set-up and tear down: Many thanks to the QCSC personnel and the following families who came early and stayed after the show: Schwaeglers, Doys, Collins, Theilings, McCulloughs, Larry Fisher, John Hintz, Dan Kirchgessner, Corky Feeney, and Russ Lent.
Special Thanks to Shari Baker for making the show run smoothly and making the day special- even with her skates off this year. The show would not be complete without the many hours our coaches spend with their students. We hope the following coaches get a well deserved rest over the Holidays: Elena, Shari, Gene, Elizabeth Pauley, Kate and Sue Schwaegler, Tori Klass, Natalyia and Valeri.
Every show needs it's lighting crew, program announcer, camera women and set-designer and program designer. Great job: Steve Schwaegler and John Hintz, Dennis and Lois Pauley, Sue Schweagler and Jill Doak.
Lastly, the FSC will be donating $230.00 (Bake Sale proceeds) to the University of Iowa Adult Leukemia and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit in Memory of Terri Harland and the QCSC will be donating their ticket sales proceeds to the same foundation. Thank you QCSC and to everyone who donated to the Foundation.
P.S. If we have forgot to thank anyone we sincerely apologize because all who contributed to make this event are special and appreciated. THANKS!
