Clubwear Option
Mama Bahama's Tees & Sweats at Northpark Mall has a decal used by some of the skaters for tee shirts. The store has a limited selection of girls' shirts but customers are welcome to bring any long or short sleeved shirt to have the decal applied. Skaters who don't have club jackets yet may want a tee shirt to wear for the club photo with Todd Eldridge might be interested in this clubwear option. (See photo attached of decal on shirts).

For those competing at the Iowa Games in Cedar Rapids this coming weekend February 11-12, 2012, the schedule is now available on the website http://www.iowagames.org/Sports/WinterGames/FigureSkating.aspx . For our newest competitors reference, those skaters that medal at the Iowa Games are then eligible to compete at the State Games of America in Hersey, PA 2013. Look into the State Games of America for more details and speak with your coach about this possibility. Also for those competing for the first time or new to competition, check out the new competitors guidelines on our club website at http://fscqc.org/page/1107o/Quad_City_Championships.html. Good luck competitors and hope you can stay Sunday, February 12th 2:28 pm for the Beginner Synchronized Team exhibition. As far as we are aware, they are the only active synchronized team currently in Iowa!

iwireless Center Schedule - February 2011 The FSCQC Board will allow 1/2-hour sessions but encourage skaters to skate a full hour, when possible. Club members will be $5.00 per half hour of ice. Non-Club members will be $6.00 per half hour. Please help our Ice Monitors by having exact change or check (payable to FSCQC) before getting on the ice. Tuesdays at 6:30 pm. will be synchronized skating, and groups working with a coach for a specific program for the spring show or specilized class. Adult Nationals to be held in Bensonville, IL April 10-14, 2012. April 14th Althelete Party
Melinda Olson (Elissa's mom) is heading up the organizing of the Adult Nationals althelete party. We'll need some adult volunteers to help at the event in Bensonville. If you have relatives or could attend and share a hotel room and help, we'd love to have your assistance. FSCQC is part of the Illinois Skating Council and expected to help supply volunteers. Volunteering has benefits and can raise funds for our club by helping with the event. The athlete party is Saturday night, April 14th. It includes heavy appetizers and a DJ. We are finding out more about ticket collection and potential door prizes. If you have skills or expertise you can offer, please let one of the board members know. We'll need helpers who can travel to Chicago for the event.
